|| About Pushing Buttons ||

On the 26th of October, musician, composer and arranger Nick Roder - best known for his work with art-rock ensemble Tulalah, art-music
project Indigo and video game scores for Roadwarden and This Dead Winter - launches his new single Pushing Buttons.

Nick recently moved from Melbourne, Australia to Stockholm, Sweden to pursue composition opportunities and explore living in a
new place after years of Melbourne’s strict lockdowns. Narratively, Pushing Buttons is a reflection on Nick’s arrival in Stockholm
and the feeling of aimlessness that initially came with the move.

Pushing Buttons is a return to the instrumental palette that Nick cut his teeth on with art-rock ensemble Tulalah, structured around
the foundations of voice and guitar. This is the first track that features Nick as a lead vocalist while also featuring Josh Barber (Gretta
Ray, Gotye) on the drum kit and Lena Douglas (Tetrahedra, Tulalah) on backing vocals.

lyrics

|| Lyrics ||

I’m getting pretty good at pushing buttons in the dark
Inconsequential when the only real job is getting up
Fortunately to drag one’s feet deserves a bow

In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find

I’m getting pretty good at finding ways to break apart
Days into hours in that way the weight seems to ease up
I’m coming round to thinking this might be the way to start
Letters are symbols formulated in a way to make a part
Incredibly from nothing something can be found

In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find
In time you’ll find
